Today Jorge, Lenny, Leo and I went to Canteria to do a bible study with the women of the village. That was short lived tho, because come to find out we were not supposed to be there until 11:00 and we got there at 10:00. Later on we went to Tsani Chico to show the passion of the christ film. We gave some bibles to the director and we met some of the women in the village. After the movie was over Jorge had a short sermon about how Christ was risen from the grave. They asked me to pray, so I did, then this lady came to me and asked me to pray for her health and Jorge tried to explain to her that I'm not a preist bit she didn't understand. So I prayed for her and then she kissed my hand. Then we left for Juliaca to get some good food. We ate at this really good Chifa place and I had about 45 people stare at me. Today Jorge and I got to really know Lenny and Leo (our cab driver), and they seemed to be really cool. They're both into racing and music which is pretty much all me. That's about it for today, comeback tomorrow for more!

I am so glad you had some good food today. I've been worried you are going to starve to death while you are there! Don't be discouraged about the Catholicism - it is ingrained in them and has been for centuries. Keep on doing what you are doing, spreading the Word, God will handle changing hearts in His time. Sounds like you're doing as great job. Why was everyone staring at you.....cause you are a tall skinny white boy.....or cause you are so GOOD LOOKING??? I say it is the latter. Of course mom's are prejudice. Keep up the good work. Proud can't even start to describe how dad and I feel.

Sorry to hear ya'll were so sick. I am praying that your stomach will get used to all this SOON. Have you tried any of the medicine I sent with you? I hope tomorrow finds you feeling much better.

I was wondering how the meeting with the guy from the Gideons went. Were you able to get the bibles you needed. I am trying to make the arrangements for the money to be available for you to pick up in Nasca when you get the remainder of your money. I will let you know. Also were you able to meet with Coach Carlos? I am really glad for the work you and Jorge are able to accomplish. Take care, we are praying for you both daily. Keep up the good work.

We never met with the gideon, and we did meet with coach carlos a few times and we plan on meeting with him again nex week sometime.
Hey, sounds like your doing great. When we were down there the best food I found was Alpaca Meat that they grilled on the square at night. We all ate it and never had a problem. I guess the cold kept the meat fresh and grilling it well killed any germs. I miss it down there.

I hope you read this soon and answer me either by e mail or on this blog. I am sending the money for the Bibles to Arnold in Lima. He will purchase the Bibles for you in Spanish ans Quechua. There will be about 40 or 50 Bibles. You will pick them up in Nasca when you and Austin go there. That is the easiest way I can than of for you to get them.
